Wilsonian effective action for SU(2) Yang-Mills theory with Cho-Faddeev-Niemi-Shabanov decomposition
The Cho-Faddeev-Niemi-Shabanov decomposition of the SU(2) Yang-Mills field is
employed for the calculation of the corresponding Wilsonian effective action to
one-loop order with covariant gauge fixing. The generation of a mass scale is
observed, and the flow of the marginal couplings is studied. Our results
indicate that higher-derivative terms of the color-unit-vector
field are necessary for the description of topologically stable knotlike
solitons which have been conjectured to be the large-distance degrees of

Duel and sweep algorithm for order-preserving pattern matching
Given a text and a pattern over alphabet , the classic exact
matching problem searches for all occurrences of pattern in text .
Unlike exact matching problem, order-preserving pattern matching (OPPM)
considers the relative order of elements, rather than their real values. In
this paper, we propose an efficient algorithm for OPPM problem using the
"duel-and-sweep" paradigm. Our algorithm runs in time in
general and time under an assumption that the characters in a string
can be sorted in linear time with respect to the string size. We also perform
experiments and show that our algorithm is faster that KMP-based algorithm.
Last, we introduce the two-dimensional order preserved pattern matching and
give a duel and sweep algorithm that runs in time for duel stage and
time for sweeping time with preprocessing time.Comment: 13 pages, 5 figure
Strong Decays of Strange Charmed P-Wave Mesons
Goldstone boson decays of P-wave mesons are studied within the
framework of Heavy Hadron Chiral Perturbation Theory. We first analyze the
simplest single kaon decays of these strange charmed mesons. We derive a model
independent prediction for the width of and use experimental
information on to constrain the S-wave contribution to decay.
Single and double pion decay modes are then discussed and shown to be
significantly restricted by isospin conservation. We conclude that the pion
channels may offer the best hope for detecting one strange member of an

Deformed Algebras from Inverse Schwinger Method
We consider a problem which may be viewed as an inverse one to the Schwinger
realization of Lie algebra, and suggest a procedure of deforming the
so-obtained algebra. We illustrate the method through a few simple examples
extending Schwinger's construction. As results, various q-deformed
algebras are (re-)produced as well as their undeformed counterparts. Some

convergent series representations of both the real and the imaginary part of
the QED effective action; these derivations were based on correct intermediate
steps. In this comment, we argue that the physical significance of the
"logarithmic correction term" found by Cho and Pak in [Phys. Rev. Lett. 86,
1947 (2001)] in comparison to the usual expression for the QED effective action

Novel molecular marker-assisted strategy for production of wheat-Leymus mollis chromosome addition lines
Developing wheatâalien chromosome introgression lines to improve bread wheatâs resistance to stresses, such as drought, salinity stress and diseases, requires reliable markers to identify and characterize the alien chromatins. Leymus mollis is a wild relative of bread wheat resistant to salinity and economically important diseases of wheat, but its genome sequence and cytological markers are not available. We devised a molecular marker-assisted strategy for L. mollis chromosome identification and applied it to produce 10 wheatâL. mollis chromosome addition lines. Using 47âL. racemosus genome polymorphic PCR markers and DArTseq genotyping, we distinguished the L. mollis chromosomes and differentiated disomic and monosomic lines by progeny test. DArTseq genotyping generated 14,530âL. mollis SNP markers and the chromosome-specific SNP markers were used to determine the homoeologous groups of L. mollis chromosomes in the addition lines. To validate the marker-based results, genomic in situ hybridization was applied to confirm the presence and cytological status of L. mollis chromosomes in the lines. This study demonstrates that adequate molecular markers allow the production and characterization of wheatâalien addition lines without in situ hybridization, which saves considerable time and effort
The Optical System for the Large Size Telescope of the Cherenkov Telescope Array
The Large Size Telescope (LST) of the Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) is
designed to achieve a threshold energy of 20 GeV. The LST optics is composed of
one parabolic primary mirror 23 m in diameter and 28 m focal length. The
reflector dish is segmented in 198 hexagonal, 1.51 m flat to flat mirrors. The
total effective reflective area, taking into account the shadow of the
mechanical structure, is about 368 m. The mirrors have a sandwich structure
consisting of a glass sheet of 2.7 mm thickness, aluminum honeycomb of 60 mm
thickness, and another glass sheet on the rear, and have a total weight about
47 kg. The mirror surface is produced using a sputtering deposition technique
to apply a 5-layer coating, and the mirrors reach a reflectivity of 94%
at peak. The mirror facets are actively aligned during operations by an active
mirror control system, using actuators, CMOS cameras and a reference laser.
Each mirror facet carries a CMOS camera, which measures the position of the
light spot of the optical axis reference laser on the target of the telescope
camera. The two actuators and the universal joint of each mirror facet are
respectively fixed to three neighboring joints of the dish space frame, via

Spinor vortices in non-relativistic Chern-Simons theory
The non-relativistic `Dirac' equation of L\'evy-Leblond is used to describe a
spin {\small 1/2} particle interacting with a Chern-Simons gauge field. Static,
purely magnetic, self-dual spinor vortices are constructed. The solution can be
